La Dame Blanche

As the daughter of Jesú «Aguaje» Ramos, the musical director of the Buena Vista Social Club, Yaite Ramos Rodriguez cut her teeth in Cuban music. Together with the producer and beat-maker Mark «Babylotion» Damblé, the Paris-based singer and musician recorded her album «Piratas», a conglomeration of dub, hip hop, cumbia and electro, urban club music and caribbean rhythms. As La Dame Blanche, she likes to light up a cigar like «el líder maximo» but, unlike him, turns every gig into a sparkling party. (ron)
